The New York TimesĀ may haveĀ put itĀ best: Conservatives are āwinning the battle for hearts and minds.ā
This past week alone saw the Trump AdministrationĀ takeĀ steps to put an end to āDiversity, Equity, and Inclusionā (DEI) programs in the federal governmentāas Americans tire of being blamed for āsystemic racism.ā But we canāt stop there. In colleges and universities across the country, the tenets of DEI are seeping into student life. The leftās goal is clear: to raise up a new generation of progressive activists.
āPresident Trumpās executive orders have dealt a massive blow to the DEI regime, but even those actions leave untouched the billions in subsidies being extracted from students and state taxpayers to prop up mandatory DEI coursework at public universities,ā Goldwater Director of Education Policy Matt Beienburg says. āPresident Trump did his part at the federal level, but now itās the duty of state lawmakers to shut off the artificial pipeline of funding still flowing to DEI-based indoctrination across our nation.ā
Fortunately, the Goldwater Institute is implementing a strategy to save Americaās future, complete with a suite of reforms, already law in multiple states, to roll back DEI in higher education. Weāre taking back our classroomsāand turning the tide on campus indoctrination.

Did you know? A primary cause of the American Revolution was the decision by British officials to establish a juryless court system to decide tax cases.
The British rule in America is long gone. But āAmericans often find themselves in precisely the same situation, due to the growth of bureaucracies that enjoy power to write the rules, investigate alleged violations, and prosecute people in their own special courtsāwhere the accused gets no jury trial and the agency that brings the charges also renders the decision,ā Goldwaterās Timothy Sandefur writes in the State Court Report.
The Administrative Stateās army of bureaucrats controls nearly every aspect of American life. But Goldwater is showing the nation how to fight backāand win. From safeguarding the right to earn a living to ending automatic judicial deference to administrative agencies in numerous states, Goldwater is dedicated to defending Americansā freedom from unelected bureaucrats.

With countless Arizonans struggling to afford housing, Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs is illegally blocking new home construction in Maricopa County.
Not. On. Our. Watch. This week, the Goldwater Institute sued the Hobbs Administration to halt one of the most significant bureaucratic overreaches in Arizonaās history.
Under the Arizona Department of Water Resourcesā nonsensical new rule, if a well in the East Valley is projected to dip below a certain depth, water bureaucrats will inaccurately declare a water shortage for unrelated developments in the West Valley. Itās also illegalāthe mandate was imposed without legislative authorization or the required formal rulemaking process.
Decisions on vital statewide concerns should be made through a transparent, democratic processānot imposed by executive fiat. We wonāt let Gov. Hobbsā illegal water rule sink Arizonaās housing future.
